The last van conversion of 2018 to leave the Firehouse Campers team rolled out of the workshop this morning.

Having lined and insulated the van we also had the bonded windows fitted on site at our workshop, as this is a work van we fitted a heavy duty ply-wood floor and laid an altro flooring system

Our client required us to fit a pair of versatile Ford Transit Custom seats to the rear of the Renault Trafic; the flexibility of the Transit seat system is fantastic as it allows the van to be converted to adapt to a multitude of uses. The van is predominantly a works van during the week requiring the seats to be rolled forward or even removed. However, at the weekend or during the holidays the seats are rolled back on gas springs and secured allowing for those memorable trips to the beach with the kids. With safety as a priority an additional reinforcement pad is fitted in way of the tracks to provide the required support for the anti-dive plates preventing the seats from nose-diving an accident. Each seat also has the extra security of 10 through bolts into securing straps beneath the van.
