Renault Trafic Van Conversion by Firehouse Campers

Family Van Conversion.

Beth and Andy had recently purchased their Renault Trafic from a local dealership. With a young family in tow, beach life and holidays abroad were top of their list.

The Renault trafic arrived as a full panel van, however, they had been promised a full set of bonded windows from the dealer. Working alongside the supplier we lined and insulated the van prior to the dealer installing the privacy windows.

The van then returned to the workshops for a full conversion. We fitted a rock and roll bed as well as a baby bunk on top of the wheel arch. A double swivel seat was fitted to allow the forward seat to rotate, creating a berth to squeeze in another youngster.

The conversion also provided for all the usual luxuries required for extended travels and trips to the beach. We installed the all important 12volt leisure system, and a split charge to keep the domestic battery topped up whilst on the move.  This allowed installation of the Dometic 12v fridge, hob and sink units for family meals in the van.

After a couple of family seaside trips away the van is headed abroad for its summer travels.
